All drilling functions are controlled from the operator's cab lo-cated at the rear of the machine, adjacent to the drilling plat-form. The operating controls and gauges are positioned within easy reach of the operator from the adjustable operator seat. The large cab windows provide good visibility of the drilling opera-tion. The machinery house encloses all main machinery and electri-cal equipment and provides ample space for maintenance and repair purposes.

The machinery house air is pressurized and fil-tered by two fan units, one of which is thermostatically con-trolled. The other fan can be throttled down to minimize the amount of air brought in during cold weather operation.

The systems that support the drilling and propelling functions of the drill are controlled by a combination of electric, hydraulic, and pneumatic components. A description of each major system follows.

LEVELING JACKS. Leveling jacks, located at the four corners of the main frame, are controlled from the operator's cab. The two rear jacks (those closest to the mast) are independently ad-justable. The two front jacks operate as a pair, and self-equalize when extended or retracted.


调平千斤顶。位于主机架四角的调平千斤顶是从操作室控制的。靠近支架的两个背后的千斤顶可以独立调节。前面的两个千斤顶伸出或缩回是成对操作的,并可以进行自平衡。

An auto-leveling system is available as an option, which, when activated, will automatically raise the drill to a level operating plane at the lowest possible elevation for good machine stabili-ty.

PROPEL SYSTEM. The drill is mounted on and propelled by individually controlled and individually powered crawlers. The rear axle is stationary, and is bolted rigidly to the main frame. The front axle is connected to a floating equalizer axle that en-ables the crawler assemblies to maintain footing over rough ter-rain.


推进系统。爆破钻安装在单独控制和单独提供动力的履带牵引装置上,并由其推进。后轴是固定的,用螺栓刚性固定在主机架上。前轴连接到一个浮动的平衡轴上,使得牵引装置在高低不平的地面上能够保持稳定。

Steering is accomplished by controlling the individual left and right crawlers. Each crawler drive has a spring-set/hydraulic released parking brake that is automatically released when pressure is applied to the hydraulic motor.

MAST AND BACKBRACE ASSEMBLIES. The mast assem-bly supports the rotary drill head and its hoisting mechanism. The mast is raised to the working position by a pair of hydraulic cylinders, and is locked in the vertical drilling position by two hydraulically actuated mast anchor pins.

The back brace locks release, allowing the mast backbraces to fold automatically when the mast is lowered from the vertical position.

All mast raising and lowering functions are controlled from the operator's cab.

PIPE RACK. The standard pipe rack configuration for this drill consists of a long pipe cradle that is fastened to a pair of paral-lelogram- type swing arms. The swing arms are fastened to the inside structure of the mast, and permit the pipe rack to be low-ered from the stored position to the centerline of the drill string. Up to three racks can be mounted to the mast, depending on the option selected.

Each rack assembly can store a single section of drill pipe. The pipe is restrained within the pipe rack by a 'pot' at the bottom and by a swing clamp mechanism located at the top of the pipe rack. When a pipe is loaded into the rack and is inserted into the pot, an electric limit switch signals the PLC to energize a cylin-der on the gate, which closes the swing gate, thereby capturing the pipe. Pipe wrench dogs within each pipe rack pot are used to loosen the pipe from the rotary head coupling, when return-ing drill pipe to the rack.

The pipe racks are moved to and from their stored position by a hydraulic cylinder attached between the mast frame and the lower swing arm.

ROTARY CARRIAGE. The rotary carriage provides rotary and vertical motion to the drill string and bit. It consists of a car-riage, a rotary gear reducer and a hoist gear reducer. The rotary gear reducer is driven by a DC motor through a gearbox to pro-vide bi-directional drill bit rotation.


转动滑架。转动滑架为钻柱和钻头提供转动和垂直移动。它由一个滑架、一个转动齿轮减速器和一个提升齿轮减速器组成。转动齿轮减速器是由一个直流电机驱动的,通过一个齿轮箱为钻头提供双向转动能力。

Vertical motion of the carriage is provided by a pulldown gear case coupled by two pinions to racks on the mast. The input power is also provided by a DC motor.

POWER UNIT. The hydraulic pump drive and the air compres-sor are mounted on opposite ends of an electric drive motor on a common sub-base (see Figure 1-2). The motor provides the power to drive all of the hydraulic functions of the drill and the air compressor which provides the large volume flow of com-pressed air needed for removal of drilling debris from the blast-hole.

PUMP DRIVE TRANSMISSION (PDT). All of the pumps which feed the main and auxiliary hydraulic systems are con-nected to, and driven by, a single pump drive transmission (PDT). The PDT is a gear reducer having multiple output shafts, all driven from a common input shaft.


泵驱动变速器(PDT)。为主液压系统和辅助液压系统供液的所有的泵都连接到一个泵驱动变速器(PDT)上,并由之驱动。该泵驱动变速器是一个齿轮减速箱,具有多个输出轴,全部由同一个输入轴驱动。
